If you have anxiety, depression or any sense of the world around you, you know that not *everything* is going to be okay. In fact, many things aren’t okay and never will be!
But instead of falling into the pit of despair, we’re bringing you a little OK for your day. Every weekday, we’ll bring you one okay thing to help you start, end or endure your day with the opposite of a doom scroll.

Hans Buetow: Nora, this is Hans Butow, your friend and your former producer. So the other day I was working on a project and I had to make someone’s voice sound like they were a weird, tiny flying forest pixie, kind of like a Tinkerbell figure, but like, maybe a little bit more sinister. So I started playing around. Like, puts an echo and broom on it. Let’s make it kind of weird and strange. Not only will this thing is going to be small. And so I…
Pitched Up Hans: Shifted the pitch of my voice up.
Hans Buetow: And as soon as I did that, I was filled with so much glee. That this is the sound that I made. [noise] Maybe that is what came out of my mouth and what I recorded while I was working on this. It just reminded me immediately of maybe like eight or ten years ago, there was an app called Talking Tom, which is basically a pitch shifter. It had a little cartoony cat that was on the screen, and you talk to your phone microphone and it would immediately play that back out and it would pitch shifted up and really weird. And at the time, my nephew was small. He was like three or four. He was at the perfect age where when you would do something that silly. He would be beside himself with giggles, just melting down, giggle. Go, go, go, go, giggle. And I’d do it again. Giggle, giggle, giggle, giggle. And I do it again. And giggle. Giggle. Google giggle. And it’s just this infectious, giggly maelstrom of joy. [noise]. I just think of it and it makes me smile just a little bit and it makes other things feel. Little bit less dark. Hehehe.
