As we start 2025, we have a big announcement to make: It’s Going To Be Okay, the daily podcast is going away.
Going forward, Nora will be publishing a new podcast on her Substack. You can watch her YouTube channel for more moments of gratitude and okay things (plus other fun content!).
Thank you for listening to this show and sharing all of your okay things over the last two years!
About It's Going to Be OK
If you have anxiety, depression or any sense of the world around you, you know that not *everything* is going to be okay. In fact, many things aren’t okay and never will be!
But instead of falling into the pit of despair, we’re bringing you a little OK for your day. Every weekday, we’ll bring you one okay thing to help you start, end or endure your day with the opposite of a doom scroll.
Find Nora’s weekly newsletter here! Also, check out Nora on YouTube.
Share your OK thing at 502-388-6529 or by emailing a note or voice memo to [email protected]. Start your message with “I’m (name) and it’s going to be okay.”
The IGTBO team is Nora McInerny, Claire McInerny, Marcel Malekebu, Amanda Romani and Grace Barry.

I’m Nora McInerny, and It’s Going To Be OK.
It is officially 2025, and you are possibly, I know I am, getting a lot of ads about how this is going to be your best year ever if you just sign up for this app, or let AI take over your brain stem, or lose weight, or start this new habit, or better
yet, start 100 habits. Maybe this will be your best year ever. Maybe this will be the best year any of us have ever had.
Also, maybe it will just be a year like every other year, which is to say that there will be highs and lows, and that most of it will be blessedly boring, utterly forgettable, so average that the memories of it just can’t make it to long-term
storage. This podcast is an exercise in appreciating those moments, the OK ones, the ones that might not be perfect, the ones that we might miss because they don’t really feel worthy of repeating to some people.
They don’t really fit on a highlight reel. This podcast was also an experiment to see if we could find enough OK things to fill a daily podcast for three months.
And we did, so we went for six months, and then nine, and then a year, and then a second year, and then we just kept going. Because even though there’s been a lot of bad stuff these past few years, there were still OK things.
And in my experience, those OK things shine a little brighter in the darkness, and the act of noticing and appreciating and sharing them makes them shine even brighter. By any measure, this experiment of a podcast was a success.
We have millions of downloads. We have an inbox filled with your OK things. We have jobs.
We have you. And like all experiments, it has to end sometime. And so it is.
At least for now, and at least how it is now. We will still be doing 30 days of OK, our email thing. That’s so fun.
People called it CBD via email, which I thought was so lovely. We’ll still be doing that four times a year. 30 days has September, April, June and November.
The point is, if a month has 30 days in it, we’re doing 30 days of OK. That will be over on my Substack, where everything’s just kind of getting rolled in. We’ll link that in the description.
I might make an episode of It’s Going To Be OK from time to time and put it out here. We might change the format to something more sustainable financially or logistically. And logistically, I should say.
I don’t know. You will still have these 400 plus episodes to listen to whenever you need them. I’m still around on other platforms.
This is not a goodbye. It’s a ciao for now. I don’t know what exactly the future holds.
We never do, but I do know now more than ever that It’s Going To Be OK. I’m Nora McInerny. This has been It’s Going To Be Okay.
This episode was produced by Claire McInerny and mixed by Amanda Romani. Big thanks to every single person who ever listened to this show, shared this show, sent in your okay things. We literally could not have done it without you.
And we did it. Like we did it, guys. We all made this podcast for, I mean, I just simply can’t do the math, but it’s been a long time, so good job.
Put your name in the credits right here because they belong there. You are a part of Feelings & Co. You are a part of It’s Going To Be OK.
Insert your name right now, say it out loud. Great. Thank you.
The rest of our team is Marcel Malekebu and Grace Barry, and myself, Nora McInerny. Our theme music is by Secret Audio. You can find links to all of our stuff wherever we are, in the show description.
And like I said, maybe we’ll be back. I just don’t know. Ciao for now.
