Nora’s son Ralph is back with a new mantra.
Listen to Ralph’s first mantra episode, YGYSYDG.
About It's Going to Be OK
If you have anxiety, depression or any sense of the world around you, you know that not *everything* is going to be okay. In fact, many things aren’t okay and never will be!
But instead of falling into the pit of despair, we’re bringing you a little OK for your day. Every weekday, we’ll bring you one okay thing to help you start, end or endure your day with the opposite of a doom scroll.

Hi, I’m Ralph, and it’s going to be OK. You might know me from one of the first episodes of this podcast, where I shared my mantra, You’re Good, You’re Safe, You’re Doing Great. I was in fourth grade when I made that up.
Now I’m in sixth grade. Glad to hear a lot of people have been comforted by those words. It’s hard to feel like they’re true sometimes.
It’s hard to be a person. It’s hard to be a kid. It’s hard to be in middle school.
So I just wanted to give a shout out to all the kids out there. Parents are parents. They’re trying.
They don’t really know what it’s like to be kids today When they were kids, it was the 90s. They didn’t have phones. They didn’t have the internet.
They didn’t have Fortnite. They’re always like, yeah, I know how middle school is. No, you don’t.
You don’t know what middle school is like now. When you were in middle school, it was 1996. Like it’s not the same thing.
Anyway, I got a letter from a kid and I wanted to read it here. Dear Ralph, I’m Aurora. I’m seven years old.
My favorite color is purple. My favorite food is pizza. I go to Lower Gwennied Elementary.
I’m sorry if I said that wrong. I loved your video. You’re good.
You’re safe. You’re doing great. I have my own mantra.
You’re cool. You’re strong. You knew it all along.
And then we have some actually really, really good drawings. There’s a pizza. It also says yum in parentheses.
There’s a lot of purple and there’s a seven, a purple seven. Forget you’re good. You’re safe.
You’re doing great. Now it’s you’re cool. You’re strong.
You knew it all along. You’re cool. You’re strong.
You knew it all along. Ta-da! OK.
Thanks to Aurora, you’re starting a new thing. Send in all your mantras and I will read them. I’m Ralph, It’s Going To Be OK.
This is a production of Feelings & Code. This episode was produced by Claire McInerny and mixed by Amanda Romani. The rest of the team is Nora McInerny, Marcel Malekebu, and Grace Barry.
Our theme music is by Secret Audio. Have a good day.
