344. Calling for Hope

Listen Now

Zachary Blackowl lost his mom a few years ago, and the grief he felt after her death threw him into a deep depression. The thing that helped him start to climb his way out was a phone call to the 988 crisis lifeline.

The 988 Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the United States. You can call or text anytime you want to talk to someone.

About It's Going to Be OK

If you have anxiety, depression or any sense of the world around you, you know that not *everything* is going to be okay. In fact, many things aren’t okay and never will be!

But instead of falling into the pit of despair, we’re bringing you a little OK for your day. Every weekday, we’ll bring you one okay thing to help you start, end or endure your day with the opposite of a doom scroll.
