Vicky called us on a Sunday to share her weekly reset routine that makes her feel accomplished and cozy at home.
About It's Going to Be OK
If you have anxiety, depression or any sense of the world around you, you know that not *everything* is going to be okay. In fact, many things aren’t okay and never will be!
But instead of falling into the pit of despair, we’re bringing you a little OK for your day. Every weekday, we’ll bring you one okay thing to help you start, end or endure your day with the opposite of a doom scroll.

Vicky: Hi Nora and Marcel and the It’s Going To Be Okay gang. This is Vicki calling you on a Sunday afternoon. And I picked Sunday to share my favorite thing because Sunday at my house is Clean Sheets and Towels Day and it’s been that way for about 20 years. But I’ve been making sure that everyone has clean shirts and towels ever since really I started doing laundry.
It’s one of the few things that my mom shared with me, um, and it has really helped every week. So on Sundays, I strip down all the beds, get the towels, and I do all the loads of laundry that I need to. I do try to grab the sheets and towels when they’re fresh out of the dryer and still that nice warm feeling so you can snuggle up and smell them and that’s an extra good thing, right?
And then I make all the beds. Right now, we have our two adult children living with us, so we try to make the beds together, and sometimes even the cats help out. But I want to tell you, when the two kids were at school, they too had Sundays being Sheets and Towels Day. I think it’s one small thing that I do and instilled in my kids that sets them up for the week.
They have their clean sheets and towels. They can get into bed. It feels fresh. It feels nice. It’s a great way to start the week. So I just wanted to share that with you guys. Um, I love your show. Um, and please keep doing all the great things that you do because we really need it out here. Thanks a lot.
Bye bye.
