About It's Going to Be OK
If you have anxiety, depression or any sense of the world around you, you know that not *everything* is going to be okay. In fact, many things aren’t okay and never will be!
But instead of falling into the pit of despair, we’re bringing you a little OK for your day. Every weekday, we’ll bring you one okay thing to help you start, end or endure your day with the opposite of a doom scroll.

I’m Nora McInerny and it’s going to be OK.
Do you know the saying 30 days hath September…April, June and November? I barely do, because I have to google it every time. And by the way, that rhyme simply falls apart after that it’s like, all the rest have 31 except for February which is 28 unless it’s 29 which happens every four years good luck kids!
But! There are 30 days in April. In June. In September. And in November.
And because we’ve always wanted this to be more than just a podcast, we tried something out in April. We did community practice called 30 Days of OK. And over 2,000 of you participated! We sent out one little email every morning to put a little OK in your inbox, and told you to write down ONE ok thing every day. We even made a little PDF tracker you could print and use, which you didn’t have to do but I really wanted to procrastinate and spend two hours formatting it SO THAT IS WHAT I DID!
Some of my OK things in April were:
Not having jet lag when i went to ireland
The sound of the Atlantic ocean
Cadbury chocolate buttons
Having birthday donuts for our neighbor girl at 6am before school starts
Therapy
Singing beautiful boy with my son at bedtime
And my mom NOT dying while we were in ireland!
And some of YOUR ok things in April were:
Forcing myself to be social and actually having fun when I did it
Spending $75 on a magic wand at age 29 is ok
Going BACK to Target
CHOCOLATE CROISSANT❤️
Found Drain-o to unclog the shower
Seth Meyers!
Bday dinner with so much laughing!
I never liked reading as a kid, but I got a library card and I’m loving reading whatever the hell I want.
And then, when it was over, we asked you how you felt. And you said that 30 days of ok was like CBD VIA EMAIL! That you felt SEEN.
That you realized that even your “meh” days were okay. That you were taking the time to check in on yourself every day, and you want to keep doing it. That just looking for the OK was permission to lower the bar AND showed you just how much really does go OK in a day!
So guess what? We’re going to do 30 days of OK again. We start June 1. We end on June 30 (see how that works). And we have the sign-up in our episode description or at feelingsand.co.
If you signed up last time, you still have to sign up this time! And if you guys like it enough, we’ll do it again in September and November. Because those are the months that hath thirty days.
