About It's Going to Be OK
If you have anxiety, depression or any sense of the world around you, you know that not *everything* is going to be okay. In fact, many things aren’t okay and never will be!
But instead of falling into the pit of despair, we’re bringing you a little OK for your day. Every weekday, we’ll bring you one okay thing to help you start, end or endure your day with the opposite of a doom scroll.

**whoosh**
I woke up on Tuesday Jan 2 2024 at 530 to get ready for a day at work after a long holiday weekend. I have custody of my 4 year old grandson, Asa. As any good Tuesday starts, Asa was also awakened by my early alarm (did I mention it was after a long weekend??). That means I have a toddler chatting to me, asking for juice and cartoons, asking where Chase from Paw Patrol is, and so on, as I try to get ready for the day. This scenario has great potential for a stressful start to the day.
On this day, however, Asa and I are standing in the kitchen. I am preparing the coffee maker for percolation and packing my lunch. Asa looks up at me with his sleepy eyes and tousled hair and asks” Mimi, is the coffee ready?” I said “nope, not yet”. He smiles and says “then I think we should dance!” So at 6am, on this Tuesday, after a long weekend; my grandson and I did the best morning jig! We improvised some amazing moves and then I stopped to check the coffee. He looks up and says “is the coffee ready?” And I once again said “not yet”. So he smiles a big cheesy grin and says “let’s dance again!”
This moment in time with this precious boy tells me, it’s going to be okay!
