Life can be challenging, but have you tried playing SKEE BALL to feel better??
About It's Going to Be OK
If you have anxiety, depression or any sense of the world around you, you know that not *everything* is going to be okay. In fact, many things aren’t okay and never will be!
But instead of falling into the pit of despair, we’re bringing you a little OK for your day. Every weekday, we’ll bring you one okay thing to help you start, end or endure your day with the opposite of a doom scroll.

Nora: I’m Nora McInerny and It’s Going To Be Okay.
Every day, we bring you an okay thing that will give you a glimmer of hope in a world filled with scary things.
Today, our okay thing is from Suzy Costa, who sent us an email:
I met my wonderful friend Sarah in 2022 while working a crappy government job. We hit it off immediately and became DEEP friends fast. She introduced me to her friend Jeremy and we also got along great. I’m proud to say that for the last year, we have been playing in a Skee ball LEAGUE at a local cider bar in Sacramento. You know, the childhood arcade game with the distinct brown balls and circles where you roll to score points – yes, that Skee ball. We are easily the coolest team in the league. There are lots of fun punny names in the league but I think ours is the best: the Salty Olde Skee Hags. And we roll up in adidas track suits every week. I cannot tell you how much I love the fact that my friends and I have an IN-PERSON hang every Wednesday and it resets me for the rest of the week. We complain about work and tell each other stories about pets, family, and childhood. It feels like my version of a green room in a comedy club: just three fun and funny friends saying dumb stuff and riffing while we so happen to play a silly game. It brings me so much joy.
