We’ll be honest…Nora’s not a *great* driver. So it’s not shocking that she recently made an illegal turn and another driver got out of his car to yell at her. That’s intense! But the rest of their interaction was actually…okay.
About It's Going to Be OK
If you have anxiety, depression or any sense of the world around you, you know that not *everything* is going to be okay. In fact, many things aren’t okay and never will be!
But instead of falling into the pit of despair, we’re bringing you a little OK for your day. Every weekday, we’ll bring you one okay thing to help you start, end or endure your day with the opposite of a doom scroll.

Recently, a man followed me to the gas station to call me an idiot.
Honestly, he wasn’t wrong. I made a wrong turn at the wrong place at the wrong time and halfway through it I thought OH SHIT I WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO DO THAT! I was in a new place in town, and I was all turned around, and I thought it was my turn to take a left but let me assure you IT WAS NOT!
And when you make a mistake when you’re driving, it’s never really a small mistake because you’re driving a 2 thousand pound death machine and other people matter and also, you can’t yet send out a little message to everyone whose path you crossed that says SORRY MY BAD!
So this guy pulls up in front of me as I’m getting out to get gas and says hey! Something something something!
And I couldn’t hear him so I made the signal for “roll down your window” and he did and he said more clearly hey! YOU ARE AN IDIOT!
And I said.
Oh my God I know. That was so dumb of me I can’t believe I did that, it must have really freaked you out and I’m so sorry!
And he…glitched? And said okay, have a nice night. That light is really confusing.
And I said, I know, but seriously, that was on me, you have a nice night, too.
And I’m not saying we’re friends but I am saying that sometimes all someone needs to hear is sorry, that was my fault. And then you can both go have a nice night.
