About It's Going to Be OK
If you have anxiety, depression or any sense of the world around you, you know that not *everything* is going to be okay. In fact, many things aren’t okay and never will be!
But instead of falling into the pit of despair, we’re bringing you a little OK for your day. Every weekday, we’ll bring you one okay thing to help you start, end or endure your day with the opposite of a doom scroll.

Nora: I’m Nora McInerny, and It’s Going to be Okay.
I’m Nora McInerny and it’s going to be okay. This show is a group project where our team and you, our listeners, share a little thing, an okay thing, something that makes us feel happy ish, even when everything else feels kind of terrible.
Kathleen: Hi Nora, this is Kathleen Downs and I think it’s going to be okay. So this week my aide and I went out scouring all the local stores looking for the fabled special edition of People magazine that was all Taylor Swift themed because yes, I do need 200 pages of Taylor Swift posters and quizzes. So. We went out in the pouring rain.
Yes, I was in a storm, in my best sweatpants, fearless, determined to find this thing. The first store that we went to, they didn’t have any and I was really disappointed, so we decided on a whim to check out the CVS across the street. At this point, we are soaked through to our bones with water. But I am like, it’s gotta be here somewhere.
And we were just about to give up and decide that we had struck out for a second time when my aide came across a box on the floor of the magazine aisle. And lo and behold, glimmering underneath the piles of J 14 and Tiger Beat copies that brought me back to being an awkward 14 year old, I, an awkward 30 year old, found the last two copies of the Taylor Swift magazine in question.
And you better believe I brought both of them, one for me and one for my twin. Such a small thing. But man, it really made my day. It was a gold rush, as our girl Taylor may say. And in a chaotic and ever changing world, that Taylor Swift magazine just gave me the boost I needed, and I said, Taylor Swift magazine, I had the best day with you today.
